B-Corp
Our B Corp Certification verifies that we meet the global standard for responsible social and environmental impact and that we operate as a force for good. Ordinary businesses achieve a median score of 50.9. A score of 80 qualifies for B Corp Certification. In 2024 we received a 110 Overall B Impact Score—a 12 point jump from the previous year.
Climate Label
To achieve carbon neutrality, Blueland works with The Change Climate Project to measure its annual cradle-to-customer emissions and establish near-term action plans to reduce GHG emissions. For any residual emissions, Blueland buys and retires an equal amount of high quality, verified carbon credits and/or funds projects like Rimba Raya and Crow Lakes Wind that cut their emissions and/or indirectly contribute to the global net-zero transition.
Cradle to Cradle
As the leading authority on global standards for safe, circular, and responsibly-made products, Cradle to Cradle’s certification requires a particularly rigorous process. Our formulations prioritize Cradle to Cradle’s Gold Material Health Certificate, meaning the chemicals and materials used prioritize the protection of human health and the environment.
EPA Safer Choice
The Environmental Protection Agency’s Safer Choice program helps consumers and businesses choose products that prioritize safer ingredients and ensure that these products perform. Our EPA Safer Choice certification verifies that our products prioritize human and planet safety without sacrificing performance.
USDA Biobased
Having the USDA BioPreferred certification ensures that we create products using renewable resources in an effort to reduce reliance on petroleum. Biobased products, meaning those derived from raw materials like plants and other renewable materials (agricultural, forestry, or marine), typically offer a more sustainable alternative to conventional petroleum-derived products.
EWG
The Environmental Working Group maintains a running chemicals of concern list and certifies products that are completely free of any chemical on said list. Their certification verifies that select products meet strict standards for safe products that are free of harmful chemicals. Blueland is proud to have EWG’s certification for both our Free & Clear Laundry Detergent Tablets and our Fragrance-Free Dishwasher Detergent Tablets.
National Eczema Foundation
The National Eczema Society’s Seal of Acceptance verifies that our Free & Clear Laundry Detergent Tablets meet the strict standards established by the association’s Scientific Oversight Committee—a panel of leading dermatologists, allergists and eczema experts—and has undergone testing for sensitivity, irritation and toxicity.
