Our 2025 Impact Report
Published: April 14, 2026
Updated: April 13, 2026

Since launching in 2019, Blueland has been on a mission to build a collective movement for a cleaner, healthier planet. In 7 short years, we have:
-
Diverted 1 billion+ single-use plastic bottles from landfills and oceans.
-
Saved 488M+ square feet of plastic-packaging.
-
Saved 7.5+ billion pounds of CO2 saved—the equivalent of taking 793,521 gasoline-powered cars off the road for a year!
We believe businesses can and should be a force for good, which is why we are committed to consistently raising the bar. No matter how much we’ve been able to accomplish, there’s always more work to be done.
We also believe in progress backed by data, not just good intentions. It’s why we’re committed to releasing an annual Impact Report—it’s our way of keeping our commitments clear and accountable for our community.
The 2025 Highlights
We’re proud to share that 2025 was another great year. In the previous year alone, our customers helped us save:
-
17,470,650 plastic containers from landfills
-
3,167,945 pounds of plastic from landfills
-
911,065,000g of CO2e from entering the atmosphere
You can learn how we make these calculations here.
Into the Specifics
Our full Impact Report dives into all of the details, but here is a quick overview of some of our major sustainability highlights across all areas of the business:
Product Innovation
We reformulated our #1 bestseller—Dishwasher Detergent Tablets—to satisfy customer desires for a more powerful formula, but also to lower its overall carbon footprint by 20%.
Supply & Operations
Our commitment to rigorous vetting processes earned us certifications from the world’s most respected organizations: Cradle to Cradle Certified®, B Corp certification (with recognition as Best for the Environment), and EWG Verified.
We also opened additional warehouses in order to be closer to consumers, reducing our cross-country shipping emissions!
Retail Expansion
Blueland reached more customers in the last year than any prior, launching in nearly all Target stores nationwide, expanding our offerings in all U.S. Costco locations, and launching select products in Kroger and HEB. By bringing our products closer to our customers (current and future), we’re able to lower emissions by lowering last-mile transportation while we support even more households making the switch to cleaner cleaning.
One Home Impact Fund
Blueland launched One Home Impact Fund, a nonprofit founded to support a collective movement for safer homes, healthier communities, and a thriving planet by funding research, advocacy, public education, and policy efforts to reduce plastic in consumer products.
2026 and Beyond
Progress doesn’t stop, and we are always working with our eyes on the future. We look forward to exploring more potential initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint, improve product performance, and amplify advocacy efforts.
We’ll be sure to share as these initiatives develop, but in the meantime, you can learn more about what we’ve accomplished in 2025 (and what we have planned for 2026 and beyond) in our comprehensive 2025 Impact Report.
